OUR HISTORY
In 1954, the carpentry company MASSUET was founded at THUIR by Robert MASSUET.
At that time, in the villages, the carpenter made the coffin and collaborated with the town hall for the funeral. That's what Robert MASSUET did for years.
In 1976, the town hall withdrew and the activity of Funeral Pumps became an activity in its own right in the same way as carpentry. It has continued to develop since then.
In 1989, Robert Fère joined Robert Jr before leaving him the reins of the company the following year.
In 2004, Guillem, his eldest son, joined him as an apprentice carpenter while he already held a mason's CAP. His skills will prove very useful for work in Thuir cemeteries and canton villages.
In 2007, Nathalie, Robert's wife, also joined them and together, a few years later, they set up the funerarium project on the commune of THUIR.
In 2021, the funeral chamber of the Aspres was created and it was at that time that Robin, their younger son, decided to come and complete the team.
In 2023 Robert retired well deserved, followed by Nathalie in 2024.
Since May 2025, Guillem and Robin are now leading SAS MASSET, Funeral Pumps and Marblery.

They are supported in their task by Noémie and Audrey at the office and shop and by Julien and Jerome at the marble factory and in the funeral ceremonies.
A team of motivated, serious and competent young people serving families in mourning with respect, discretion and dedication.
A new page of the family saga is being written thanks to them and in memory of Grandpa Robert, founder of this beautiful family story...
